Christian Dymond has been a journalist for many years. After three years at the Press Association in London, he spent ten years at Border Television in Carlisle where he presented two series of Hindsight for the ITV network.

As a freelance since 1992, he has written for The Times, Sunday Times, Financial Times, Daily Telegraph, Louis Vuitton City Guide and other publications. For some years he wrote extensively on food and drink for Cumbria Life magazine.

He was the overall winner of the Cumberland News Countryside Awards 2004 for his proposal which led to the very first Cumbria and Lake District Food and Drink Festival in that year. He is on the committee of the Cumbria Convivium of Slow Food. He also runs an independent production company, Dymond Productions, with his wife, Charlotte  (www.dymondproductions.co.uk)
